Spokedraft · Work

Three installs already on the clock.Hours back, in plain Aussie.

A snapshot of three recent Spokedraft installs — a sole trader, a regional cafe and a two-chair clinic. Each one runs through situation, the setup work we did, and the hours-saved outcome the team reported back. None of the photos are staged.

Three recent installs

The three segments we keep coming back to: one tradie working solo, one hospitality venue on a regional highway, one clinical practice with two chairs to keep full. Different rhythms, the same shape — boring work, automated, measured in hours.

Sole trader · tradie

A one-plumber operation in Gippsland

Situation
Bookings landed across phone, SMS and email, mostly after knock-off. The diary was a whiteboard and a stack of receipts; late payers got a phone call from a man who’d already done the job twice.
Setup
Online booking form on the existing website wired to the calendar; SMS confirmations the next morning; a polite late-payment nudge that fires three days after the invoice lands. No new platform — the workflow ran on the tools the plumber already paid for.
Hours-saved outcome

6 hrs/wk back

after-hours calls down about 70% in the first month.

Retail · hospitality

A regional cafe on a coastal highway

Situation
The manager’s Sunday went to supplier emails and the roster. Stocktake was a guess and the daily sales number only turned up on Tuesday, by which time the weekend was already on the floor.
Setup
Supplier order reconciliation against last week’s usage; a weekly roster draft the manager signs off on Sunday arvo; a daily sales digest in the inbox at 6am, Monday through Saturday, before the espresso machine warms up.
Hours-saved outcome

8 hrs/wk back

stocktake variance halved, and Sunday mornings kept their quiet.

Clinic · health

A two-chair allied health clinic in Newcastle

Situation
No-shows ate the second chair; the recall list lived in a notebook; new patients filled in an intake clipboard in the waiting room and the practitioner rewrote it by hand after the consult.
Setup
A patient intake web form sent the day before the appointment; a 48-hour recall SMS for anyone overdue; a clinical-note draft handed back to the practitioner thirty seconds after the consult ends — typed, waiting for a quick eyeball and a sign-off.
Hours-saved outcome

5 hrs/wk back

recall show-rate up roughly 25 points in the first quarter.
